Juvenile
Driver Improvement Program 6-Hour:
Beginning in 1999 the Bureau of Motor Vehicles
had started enforcing a new law that states
if a juvenile (16-18 years old) is convicted
of 2 moving violations before their 18th
birthday, their license will be suspended.
In order to renew their license, the juvenile
will need to serve a suspension period,
pay a reinstatement fee to the Bureau of
Motor Vehicles, successfully complete a
6-hour Juvenile Driver Improvement Course,
show proof of insurance, and be re-tested
in the written and driving exams.
The SCNWO offers the 6-hour
Driver Improvement Course on scheduled Saturdays,
it is usually the last Saturday of the month.
To get into the course you would need to
pre-register and pre-pay at the SCNWO office,
Monday thru Friday. The cost of this course
is $60.00.
